Yes, all the PHP versions of the tags should still work as they did in 1.13. However, there are a few new and enhanced tags in 1.2 that haven't yet been coded or recoded for dynamic publishing, which is why I simply omitted the PHP code from beta 1. I'll get this done for beta 2, which should be available early next week.
